Anne MacGregor BVSc MRCVS and Andy MacGregor BVSc MRCVS

Andy qualified from Liverpool University in 1991 and took up a position in a mixed practice. He has also spent 6 months working for a specialised farm animal practice in Cheshire and further time in an exotics practice in Liverpool. Anne qualified from Liverpool in 1993 and has worked in mixed practice and at an equine hospital. Anne and Andy took on Ashlands Veterinary Centre in 2000.

Andy has developed an particular interest in orthopaedics and Anne’s interests lie in ultrasonography and cardiology, she also performs acupuncture. Anne has also recently taken on the role of Practice Manager. They have three children, who keep them occupied outside work, however, Andy does find time to coach the juniors at Ilkley Rugby Club and play squash for Ilkley, and Anne has taken up playing the cornet again, joining Otley Brass Band in 2010.

Steve Kirby BVetMed MRCVS

Steve qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in July 2003. Following graduation he attained a position working for the Greater Manchester RSPCA Animal Hospital. Here Steve developed a keen interest in small animal surgery and emergancy medicine. After taking a year to travel the world and work in Australia, he returned to take up a position at Ashlands Veterinary Centre. Steve is mainly based at our Glusburn branch.

Paul Thomas BVSc MRCVS

Paul qualified from Liverpool University in 1993 and has worked entirely as a small animal vet since then, including a 12 month stint for the SPCA in Fiji. He has developed special interests in cytology, surgical oncology and soft tissue surgery and is currently attending a postgraduate modular course in small animal medicine. Paul has three children and a dog called Teddy.

Arron Longman BVMS MRCVS

Arron has worked at Ashlands since 2006. He qualified from Glasgow University in 1994 and worked in a veterinary hospital in London where he discovered an interest in veterinary dermatology. He has attended the World Veterinary Dermatology Conference in Vienna and is a member of the British Veterinary Dermatology study group. He also has developed an interest in smaller pet animals and has been a member of the British Rabbit Council. Outside work Arron enjoys running and has participated in The London Marathon and The Great North Run. He also enjoys languages, gym training, cooking and attempting to grow odd shaped and usually quite small vegetables!

Jenna Whitford BVetMed MRCVS

Jenna qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2006. She joined the veterinary team at Ashlands just over a year ago. During this time she has developed an interest in feline medicine. Jenna has a boxer called Floyd and a crossbreed called Roxy and who like to eat the tomatoes she has tried to grow.

Richard Taylor BVSc GPCert(B&PS) MRCVS

Richard qualified from Bristol University in 2005 and took up a position in mixed practice for 18months before focussing on small animal practice. He has untaken a 2-year modular course in small animal medicine and in 2011 he gained a post-graduate qualification in Business & professional studies. He has developed special interests in small animal medicine & emergency medicine. Outside work, Richard enjoys bread making & candle making as well as walking his cheeky 7 month old Golden retriever puppy, William.
