A History of Ashlands Veterinary Centre
Ashlands Veterinary Centre was set up in 1991 by Geoff and Geraldine Hale with Pam Braithwaite. Pam retired from general practice in 1995.
Anne and Andy bought Ashlands in 2000 and took over on 3rd March of that year. Together they opened a fully equipped surgery in Glusburn in June 2004.
The practice has grown from 1 vet, 2 qualified VNs and 1 trainee in 2000 to 6 vets, 5 qualified VNs, 3 trainee VNs, 7 receptionists, an accounts manager and a cleaner in 2010.
The aim of the future is to open a purpose built Veterinary Hospital in Ilkley with all modern facilities and an onsite dedicated 24hr hospital team so that Ashlands Veterinary Centre can offer the very best Veterinary care in the area.
